The All-Too-Expected Retraction

Yes, yesterday was April first.

While I am studiously trying to avoid making sweeping generalizations about groups of people, I have absolutely no intention of backing off one iota in my condemnation of George Bush, Tom DeLay, Dick Cheney, Dennis Hastert, Bill Frist, or any others of their ilk until they are no longer in power (and until at least the first three on that list are rotting in a prison cell). As for wishing well of Jerry Falwell, if you swallowed that one, you don’t know me all that well.

If I can be positive, all well and good — I certainly won’t squander the opportunity. But I’m not about to stop addressing the negative.

Still, given my reputation for April Fools mischief, I don’t honestly think I caught too many of my regular readers.

(The artwork and my comments on Project Greenlight you can take at face value — although I probably would have been a little harsher in my assessment of director John Gulager.)
